BOUQUET OF FRENCH ROSES

This painting was one a of the first really large canvas’s I painted. The roses are from my garden and are literally a couple of stems shoved into a vase. With a bit of wriggling around in the vase, I realised how beautiful they were and snapped them with my camera. This painting now lives in Westport in the home of an avid art collector. Before it was sold a friend used the piece to dress her house when it was staged for sale. The muted pink colours matched the patterned rug on the floor The painting looked beautiful in the large ornate hallway of their villa.
